An early-stage company creating AI-based operating software for outpatient care has more customer demand than its engineering team can serve. It is looking for an ambitious engineer-turned-product-leader who will decide what gets built and also write a large share of it, guiding a small team made up of people and AI agents.
Responsibilities
- Speak with customers directly and decide what to build, why it matters and the way to build it
- Write and ship AI products yourself daily, working hands-on as an individual contributor
- Lead a compact, high-ownership group of engineers who own their work, consisting of people and AI agents
- Own the roadmap and the standard for product and UX quality across a broad surface area
- Partner each day with the CEO, the CTO and the CMO to convert committed customer demand into delivered product
Background
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- At least two years as a software engineer in industry, with a year or more as a product manager preferred
- Strong engineering ability combined with real product management experience
- Roughly two to eight years of total experience since graduating, reflecting a rising builder rather than a veteran executive
- Heavy daily use of AI tools and strong taste for product design
- Appetite for autonomy and for potentially managing others for the first time
