JOB-1565

An early-stage manufacturer of high-performance composite parts for the defense and aerospace sectors needs a full-stack engineer who enjoys connecting software with physical production. The role sits with hardware and automation specialists and carries a lot of autonomy, with no ticket queues and no separate product or QA staff.

Scope

  • Build the in-house operating system that runs the path from incoming stock to shipped components, covering purchasing, quoting, pricing, stock levels and shop workflow
  • Develop a simulation layer that uses data collected on the shop floor to train AI models forecasting how composite parts will behave
  • Take charge of factory automation software: streaming equipment telemetry, coordinating robots and keeping a live virtual replica of the whole line
  • Architect backend services that represent the physical facility, using an ontology-style approach
  • Act as a product-minded engineer who decides what matters most, owns each problem fully and ships quickly

About you

  • At least two years shipping production-grade software, with TypeScript on the front end and Python or Go on the back end
  • A history of building complete products at a fast-growing startup and defining what to build rather than waiting for assigned work
  • High energy, comfort with ambiguity and real ambition for a founding position
  • Bonus: simulation, CAD, geometry processing, data engineering or factory software experience
  • Must satisfy export-control rules, meaning a US citizen, green card holder or other protected person

On-site in Los Angeles. No visa sponsorship or transfers.
