JOB-1564

A Series A startup that is building an AI-driven data exchange for the insurance industry is seeking two senior engineers. Its technology supports insurance verification for large enterprise customers, and the company is small enough that each hire shapes how the product and the team develop.

Day to day

  • Create evaluation frameworks for the systems that extract and transform insurance data, a relatively untouched area
  • Coordinate agents that fix their own mistakes and get better as they run
  • Bring in context so that messy, highly varied insurance data points can be normalized into a standard form
  • Lead technical design choices and coach more junior engineers
  • Organize how data is layered and coordinated where several ingestion sources overlap

Who thrives here

  • Three to ten years building production systems in data-heavy settings, mostly at high-growth venture-backed startups
  • Full-stack range with a strong backend lean, including distributed systems, extraction, validation and transformation work
  • Python and TypeScript, with API experience
  • High agency: you can take a fuzzy problem and carry it to completion without much direction
  • Comfort in a team of a few dozen people
  • Nice to have: fintech or data aggregation background, and a solid grasp of applied AI topics like agent workflows, evals and guardrails
  • A computer science degree or equivalent

On-site in New York, NY, in the office four days a week. Visa transfers considered.
