Founding Technical Recruiter (AI Software Company)

A fast-growing AI software company, recently funded at the Series E stage, is establishing an engineering office in San Francisco and wants its first dedicated technical recruiter. The hire will manage engineering recruiting from first contact to signed offer, working alongside engineering leaders and the CTO.

What you’ll own

• Source and build a steady pipeline of data, backend and full-stack engineers in large numbers
• Run each technical search end to end, from first message through close
• Set hiring priorities and strategy together with senior engineers and the CTO
• Build the company’s visibility in the local Bay Area engineering community through events and networking
• Manage candidate relationships and closings as the solo recruiter on site

Experience we want

• Three-plus years running technical searches from first contact to close, mostly for software engineers, with in-house experience
• Time at a fast-scaling startup that hired in real numbers, not only large tech companies
• A taste for daily hands-on sourcing and for generating your own leads
• Comfort with an applicant tracking system such as Ashby and with handling interview scheduling
• Interest in using AI tools for sourcing
• Independence and self-direction as a solo recruiter

On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, five days a week. Visa transfers considered.
