A well-funded software company building voice automation powered by AI is replacing a departing member of its small, experienced platform reliability group. The engineer who joins will take ownership of the systems that let other engineers build, test and release quickly, and will have a real say in where the team heads next.
Scope of the role
- Pipelines for building and releasing code, plus the internal tooling and deployment experience around them
- Infrastructure that lets autonomous AI agents run safely without supervision, including test automation, isolated sandboxes, safety limits and output checks
- Developer-experience upgrades that cut repetitive manual effort and help product teams move faster
- Cloud spend, monitoring and infrastructure health across Kubernetes clusters running on more than one cloud
- A place in the on-call schedule for foundational infrastructure, where overnight alerts are uncommon
Requirements
- About six years or more in roles that enable software developers, such as SRE, platform engineering or developer experience; a background focused only on networking or hardware infrastructure is not a match
- Proven ownership of a CI/CD platform, from architecture through self-service for developers
- Working skill with TypeScript on Node, Python, Terraform and Kubernetes with Helm
- Practical grounding in observability: logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and handling incidents
- Comfortable passing a coding screen designed for software engineers
