JOB-1971

An early-stage enterprise AI startup that automates finance and operations work for large companies is adding to its very first sales team. Selling has so far been led by the founders, and this seller will help convert that approach into something a wider team can repeat.

Scope

  • Manage a portfolio of named large accounts whose systems depend on SAP, moving each opportunity from first outreach through qualification, negotiation and signature
  • Steer deals involving many buyers in finance, operations, IT, legal, security and procurement, relying on a structured pilot approach that typically wraps up within four to six months
  • Partner directly with the founders, the product group and AI engineers on the biggest pursuits
  • Write business cases tied to automation gains, cash-flow improvement and faster process cycles that persuade senior executives
  • Document and systematize the founders’ selling methods, and optionally help recruit and shape a sales team later, though remaining an individual contributor is fine
  • Keep an honest forecast and deliver contracts in the six- and seven-figure range

Ideal background

  • Five to ten years as a strategic or enterprise account executive selling software
  • Track record of top-down selling to VPs and C-level leaders rather than self-serve or bottom-up adoption
  • Experience at an early-stage company with modest revenue
  • Familiarity with long cycles that involve many stakeholders at very large buyers
  • A stable tenure history without repeated short stints

On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, with relocation support available. Visa transfers and new sponsorships are both considered.
