JOB-1875

An early-stage startup selling software to large insurance carriers needs a customer-facing technologist who can take accounts from signed contract to production launch. This person links the engineering group with the messy realities inside big insurers, and makes sure each rollout produces visible business value.

Day to day

  • Run several client rollouts at once, from design after the sale all the way to launch, serving as the main contact for senior executives
  • Dig into system design, data structures and process mapping with client teams across tangled organizations
  • Turn ambiguous customer situations into clear, structured plans that both internal engineers and client leadership can follow
  • Set up portions of the product yourself and convert customer needs into well-formed engineering requirements
  • Support colleagues in sales during advanced deals by scoping work and finding routes to wider adoption

About you

  • Roughly two to five years combining technical work and client-facing work, with some flexibility at the lower end for a strong fit
  • Proof of both: for example consulting experience for communication, and a software internship or technical role for credibility
  • Comfort leading conversations with demanding senior stakeholders; most of the job is communication
  • Light coding exposure is enough, whether from a bootcamp, internships or self-directed projects
  • Earlier startup experience is a plus

On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, five days a week in the office. Visa transfers considered, and sponsorship and relocation support are available.
