A fast-growing AI startup that supplies audio data to leading AI labs is expanding its engineering team in San Francisco. Backend engineers there build the pipelines and services behind several products used by researchers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services and pipelines that process data at scale and power the company’s product lines
- Design infrastructure that keeps pace with rapid growth in customer demand
- Work across the speaker-facing platform, tools for labs and researchers, and internal tooling
- Pair with research teams on rapid improvements to how data gets collected
- Architect and maintain APIs and services used daily by thousands of people
Qualifications
- Three to six years building backend systems, fluent in both Python and TypeScript
- Time spent at rapidly scaling, venture-funded startups, not solely at big or legacy employers
- Computer science degree from a strong program, or equivalent
- Has led projects from zero to one with measurable business results
- Has built production pipelines and systems that scale
- Familiarity with Node.js, PostgreSQL or AWS is a plus
