Founding Product Engineer (AI Freight Brokerage)

An early-stage, AI-first freight brokerage in New York is hiring a product-minded full-stack engineer for a founding seat. You would choose what gets built, release it in days rather than weeks, and have real influence over product direction, system design and company strategy.

What you’ll own

• Interview freight agents who work independently to uncover their problems, then shape product requirements alongside the product lead
• Build full-stack features, from interface to API to data layer, on a system that handles pricing quotes, correspondence with carriers and shippers, and fraud screening
• Create analytics revealing where agents could expand their books of business
• Run user tests, watch how agents use new releases and refine them quickly
• Lean on AI tools across the whole workflow, whether investigating, prototyping, building or verifying

What you bring

• Three to ten years as a product or full-stack engineer
• At least a year at a seed or Series A startup taking products from zero to one
• Experience building tools for professionals, such as dashboards, admin tools or internal ops software
• Next.js on the frontend, TypeScript on the backend and GCP in the cloud
• A deeply AI-native engineering workflow and strong product judgment
• Founder or founding-engineer experience is a plus; expect roughly two-thirds engineering and one-third product work
