JOB-2034

An early-stage company that sells an AI agent platform to semiconductor makers needs a technically deep engineer to run customer deployments. You would troubleshoot a complex platform on live calls inside tightly controlled, air-gapped customer networks. Chip-design experience is not necessary, so this can be a way into the semiconductor industry.

Day to day

  • Take full ownership of one or two large enterprise customer engagements, from evaluation through rollout and expansion, each lasting several months
  • Diagnose problems live in a Python backend, React frontend and AI agents across Linux, containers, networking and file systems
  • Drive adoption by delivering training, logging and documenting issues, and confirming fixes reach the customer
  • Contribute to the core product between customer escalations and pass field insights to the roadmap
  • Make occasional trips to visit customers, both domestic and international

Qualifications

  • Experience carrying a technical customer rollout from kickoff to completion, whether as a forward deployed engineer, an early engineer or a founder
  • Deep Linux and Unix knowledge, including hands-on Podman or Docker setup, networking, NFS, symlinks and permissions
  • Strong Python and a knack for quickly learning a large codebase well enough to debug it
  • A computer science, electrical or computer engineering education (or a close relative) from a well-regarded school

On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, five days a week. Visa transfers considered.
