A software company in the mortgage space needs a design-minded engineer who sweats the fine details of interface and experience and treats every component as a matter of craft. The aim is for the product to feel as good as it works, from first sketch to shipped code.
Responsibilities
- Carry design work from Figma wireframes through implementation in React and TypeScript
- Build and look after the company’s design system and reusable UI components using shadcn/ui
- Author accessible React components for production use, with proper ARIA semantics, keyboard support and focus handling
- Work with product and engineering colleagues to turn intricate mortgage workflows into intuitive, polished experiences
- Set and uphold visual and interaction standards so the product stays consistent
Qualifications
- Five or more years as a design engineer or front-end or full-stack engineer shipping production code, at senior level or above
- Production React and TypeScript, with strong Figma skills including libraries, variants and auto-layout
- Experience building and maintaining a design system on top of real front-end engineering
- Background in a fast-growing B2B SaaS company with dense interfaces, or a consumer product known for polished animation
- A portfolio showing refined visual and interaction work; Tailwind CSS and AI-native product experience are a plus
