JOB-1914
A small, venture-backed robotics startup is turning a humanoid robot for everyday consumers from prototype into a real product. It is looking for a hands-on hardware generalist who has built things from scratch and is ready to take charge of large subsystems while working near leading physical AI research labs.
What you’ll own
- Architect whole robot systems covering mechanical CAD, battery management, circuit boards and wire harnesses, taking each project from idea to finished assembly
- Program microcontrollers and FPGAs using Arduino, C, C++ and Python, and get new boards running
- Turn rough, fast prototypes into refined hardware ready for consumers to buy
- Coordinate with the AI researchers so hardware and software choices strengthen one another
- Take part in design reviews with peers, deal with suppliers and help build manufacturing processes that scale
Who thrives here
- One to five years of hands-on work spanning mechanics, electronics, firmware and manufacturing
- Personal builds or shipped products, such as an e-bike, car or 3D printer
- Ability to design both PCBs and mechanical CAD
- Firmware and low-level programming experience
- Degree in electrical, mechanical or aerospace engineering, computer science or math
- Strong ownership of complex cross-functional projects and appetite for an intense pace
On-site in the South Bay Area (Silicon Valley). Visa transfers and new sponsorships are both possible.
