JOB-1864

A startup that makes software for the sports sponsorship business is hiring a founding-level data engineer to reshape how customers get onboarded, moving from a labor-intensive project to an automated, scalable product. The hire will have real influence over where the product goes.

Your charge

  • Own data ingestion, the matching of contracts to sponsorship inventory, and the data warehouse architecture
  • Keep client data adaptable, dependable and report-ready
  • Work with the CTO on how the central record system develops
  • Build tools that reconcile and integrate data smoothly across sources
  • Replace manual onboarding steps with automated pipelines that scale

Experience that fits

  • Two to six years as a data engineer
  • A record of building production data systems from scratch in Python and SQL, ideally at seed to Series A stage
  • Hands-on ETL and ELT work, including migrations, deduplication and entity resolution
  • Experience with Postgres and a cloud data warehouse, with BigQuery preferred
  • Skill at explaining technical data problems to non-technical stakeholders and clients
  • A plus: applying LLMs or APIs to data engineering, Power BI or data visualization, building integrations, and time on small teams or personal projects

The stack includes Python, Postgres, GCP and FastAPI, with some React and TypeScript.

Hybrid in New York, NY. Visa sponsorship is not available.
