Staff Full-Stack Engineer (AI for Private Markets)

A software company building an AI platform for investors in private markets needs a senior engineer to take ownership of large portions of the product from front to back. Revenue is outpacing the size of the engineering group, which makes this the business’s highest hiring priority. The ideal person is a generalist who works natively with AI tools and lifts the people around them.

What you’ll own

• Build across the whole stack, covering front end, back end and database migrations, with AI agents handling code writing and review
• Take full responsibility for sizable product areas, such as an agent that drafts polished, investor-quality presentations and written briefs for finance professionals
• Author technical design documents yourself and devote a portion of your week to reviewing colleagues’ designs and code
• Raise standards across the team in system design, code quality and day-to-day engineering discipline
• Collaborate with customer-facing teammates in sales and success, as well as product managers, converting what finance professionals need into shipped features

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of software engineering with clear promotions (seven is the floor)
• Engineering degree in computer science or a related field such as computer, electrical or mechanical engineering
• Daily practice building with coding agents rather than by hand
• Has run a major product area or large infrastructure initiative from start to finish, and can demonstrate the results, including how you strengthened fellow senior and staff-level colleagues
• Production full-stack work with React or Next.js plus Python or Node.js, and hands-on Postgres and background-job systems
• Strong pedigree, ideally from both large and early-stage companies, with a specific reason for choosing a startup
