JOB-1716

A fast-growing company that supplies expert-produced data to AI developers depends on a large pool of domain specialists, and it is hiring an engineer to build the systems behind that pool. The role is not conventional growth engineering. It is about creating the systems and tools that let the operations team find, vet, onboard, interview and retain experts across many projects, with a lot of autonomy and a path toward predictive staffing systems.

Main areas

  • Build and own the expert marketplace stack: recruiting outreach, an automated interviewing agent, skills assessments and onboarding tools
  • Create the system that brings experts in, tracks them and routes them to suitable projects depending on skills and capacity
  • Replace manual team workflows with workflow automation and in-house tooling that raises throughput substantially
  • Team up with members of the growth group to spot bottlenecks, add funnel measurement and release valuable fixes fast
  • Over time, build machine-learning recommendation systems that anticipate which expert profiles a new project will need

Skills we’re after

  • Two to five years as a full-stack software engineer, with end-to-end ownership of something you built
  • Proficiency in Node.js or Python and in Kubernetes
  • Experience scaling core infrastructure at a high-growth startup, a trading firm, or as an early engineer
  • Marketplace or growth-infrastructure experience is a strong plus, as is exposure to Kafka, Redis or Elasticsearch

On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, in the office five days a week with flexible hours. Visa transfers considered.
