JOB-1689

A fast-growing, venture-backed startup building a CRM around AI is hiring an early customer success manager for its most important accounts after they sign. The foundations already exist, and this person will help decide how the function develops as the company grows.

What you’ll own

  • Bring key accounts from contract signature to full production use, including moving their data and processes onto the product
  • Configure automations and workflows inside the platform so customers stop doing tasks manually
  • Spread usage across whole customer teams until the tool becomes their daily home base
  • Spot growth opportunities and expand accounts as usage rises under a consumption-based pricing model
  • Be accountable for retention and the net dollar retention of your portfolio

Who thrives here

  • Four to eight years in post-sale roles (customer success, account ownership or solutions consulting) tied to a developer-oriented B2B software offering, responsible for your own portfolio and target
  • Hands-on skills: you have personally shipped workflow automations and system integrations that helped customers thrive, without leaning on engineering
  • Measurable examples of moving accounts from onboarding to growth
  • Ability to talk with founders and senior business leaders as an equal about their pipeline, processes and objectives
  • A repeatable method for reviving accounts that have stalled or are barely used
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot and of sales workflows
  • Startup experience building processes from scratch is a plus

Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area, with most days in the office. Visa transfers considered.
