JOB-1610

An early-stage startup that runs machine perception and AI over construction-site imagery needs a native iOS developer to take over its field capture app. Specialists on active building projects use the app to photograph their sites, and those photos flow into a very large processing pipeline.

Scope

  • Become the single owner of the iPhone app and push it much nearer to the intended product vision
  • Deliver new capabilities through every phase by learning what field staff face, shaping the experience, writing the code and shipping it
  • Make the pairing in how the app talks to 360-degree cameras sturdier, so that wireless capture and upload hold up outdoors
  • Coordinate with backend colleagues and company leadership so that API work, syncing and release schedules line up
  • Hunt for weak points in the capture process, upload dependability and day-to-day usability

Profile

  • About six years building native iOS apps with Swift/UIKit
  • Launched and run production apps, ideally as the only or lead iOS engineer
  • Previous time at an early-stage startup and the self-direction to operate without detailed specs
  • Helpful: hardware, camera or media integrations, 360-degree capture apps, a good eye for design, and some Python/Django familiarity

Hybrid in New York, NY. No visa support: candidates must already be authorized to work in the U.S.
