A growth-stage fintech company is putting AI agents to work inside wealth management, a heavily regulated field where mistakes are costly. It needs a platform-minded engineer to build the base layer that a small, fast engineering group relies on, as the business expands partly through acquisitions.
What you’ll own
- Architect and operate the shared infrastructure layer plus the server-side services that other engineers build upon
- Create secure, isolated environments in which AI agents can execute work safely
- Improve the developer workflow with internal tooling that removes friction from shipping
- Tune performance and spend, since automated agents hit the system constantly across all client accounts
- Keep the platform dependable as new businesses and data are folded in
What you bring
- Five or more years in backend, platform or infrastructure engineering
- Solid backend design instincts covering APIs, data stores and pipelines
- Hands-on cloud, container orchestration and deployment automation (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Experience building and owning internal platforms or developer tooling at a fast-growing tech company
- Nice to have: sandboxing and secure code execution, regulated-industry exposure, query optimization, or AI agent infrastructure
