JOB-1558
An early-stage manufacturing technology company is building the software layer for highly automated CNC factories that supply critical defense programs, and it is assembling its founding engineering team. Engineers here create entire systems from scratch, take feedback from the people using them on the production floor, and aim to make the factory design repeatable at many sites.
Focus areas
- Build a factory ERP starting at zero, covering inventory, material tracking and the movement of parts through the facility
- Develop monitoring software that reads low-latency signals from CNC equipment and sends commands back to it
- Build quality management systems that measure and raise the quality of parts down to micron-level precision
- Spend time with machinists, collect their input and iterate quickly on the tools they use each day
- Design systems that can be replicated across factory locations around the country
Experience we value
- Two to seven years of full-stack engineering, with strong Python and Django
- Real products shipped end to end at high-intensity companies, including venture-backed startups
- A high-agency approach to ambiguous problems, delivering solutions independently
- A computer science degree from a strong program
- Plus: industrial, ERP or hardware-adjacent software, machine learning model fine-tuning, or computational geometry, CAD/CAM or robotics exposure
Fully on-site in Austin, Texas. Candidates must be US citizens or lawful permanent residents; visa sponsorship is not available.
