JOB-1551

A seed-stage healthcare technology company is creating an agent-based platform that helps clinicians care for patients with chronic conditions. It wants a product-minded engineer who is equally comfortable across applied AI, server-side systems and customer-facing screens, and who can carry capabilities from rough prototype to production.

The work

  • Develop and extend the agent platform: memory, permissions, orchestration, tool use, context handling and human-in-the-loop review
  • Quickly prototype clinical AI experiences, then turn the best into production software that practicing clinicians rely on
  • Create evaluation harnesses, regression tests and launch gates covering success on tasks, clinical quality, dependability, safety, speed and cost
  • Add observability into how models behave, which tools they call, traces, failures and complete workflow results so agents are easier to debug
  • Collaborate with clinicians, engineers and product leaders to turn real clinical processes into trustworthy tools

What you bring

  • Five or more years of product engineering centered on LLM-based systems
  • Production agentic systems built with tool calling, orchestration and context management
  • Healthcare software experience, ideally provider-facing or clinical workflows
  • Ownership of several areas of a product at a seed to Series A startup
  • Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
  • Experience with LLM evaluations, regression testing or AI observability
  • Clear explanations of technical tradeoffs to non-technical colleagues

Hybrid in New York, NY. Only H-1B transfers are considered.
