A seed-stage startup working where operational process analysis meets agentic AI is building its production platform from scratch and already serves large enterprises. It is looking for an early engineer who will collaborate closely alongside the founders and hold substantial technical authority over a young, tidy codebase.
Day to day
- Build core platform features across backend and frontend as a central early contributor
- Make architectural decisions, live with the results and iterate
- Design and run reliable backend services, including Go and Python components
- Integrate LLMs into production, using patterns like orchestration and tool calling
- Shape database schemas, migrations and live operations on PostgreSQL
- Take features from design to rollout and monitoring, and iterate based on feedback from customers
What you bring
- Five or more years shipping production software across the stack, with sustained responsibility for important systems
- Backend depth in a compiled language such as Go, Java, Scala, C++ or C, plus solid Python
- A modern React and TypeScript frontend skillset
- Hands-on, shipped experience with LLM-based systems
- Pragmatism about when to refactor, when to purchase instead of build, and the deliberate handling of technical debt
- Ease with shifting priorities
- Preferred: vector search and RAG, AI-assisted development tools, testing discipline, observability, Terraform and GCP, real-time streaming
Stack: Python, Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, React and TypeScript, Docker, Terraform, GCP.
