JOB-1464
An early-stage workforce training company, partly funded through public contracts, is hiring an operator to set up brand-new career programs. It is a builder’s job that sits between learners on one side and local employers on the other.
Your focus
- Take two newly funded programs from research phase through the enrollment of their first learners
- Run a fresh pathway that places people leaving incarceration into work quickly, and own how it performs
- Recruit a pair of hiring partners per program, persuade them to commit, and keep them coming back for more graduates
- Spend time with a handful of learners in each program to understand what moves someone from signing up to earning, and find weak points before expansion
- Document every program so successors can operate it and engineers can later productize it
- Create your own tooling with Claude, no-code platforms and spreadsheets, and send weekly updates on enrollment, completions, placements and speed of hiring
Profile
- Three or more years working on operations for an early-stage business, whether as founder, consultant or early employee
- Comfortable approaching employers directly, by phone or in person, with a history of converting first conversations into lasting partnerships
- Experience launching something from zero and owning its outcomes
- Previous one-on-one work with the people you serve, such as teaching, coaching or social work
- Direct-service or forward-deployed work is a plus
On-site in New York, NY. Visa sponsorship is not available.
