A tiny startup behind an AI-powered app builder, serving a large base of business owners who are mostly not technical, is hiring staff-level product engineers. Each hire would be accountable for whole product areas and turn open-ended goals into straightforward tools people can use without help.
Scope
- Build and own customer-facing products throughout the platform, from the AI agent and app builder to a mobile web experience and headless SDK products such as authentication, content management, media storage, email and commerce
- Drive whole product domains from a well-defined goal to a finished, working product shaped by feedback
- Collaborate alongside the founders on top-level requirements and iterate fast using user input
- Design minimal, very simple interfaces that let people without technical backgrounds run business systems such as CRMs, ERPs and HR tools
- Carry features from early design through system architecture, data schemas and API definition into launch and the iteration that follows
- Improve billing, entitlements, analytics, experimentation, localization and notifications to lift adoption and revenue
Profile
- Senior-to-staff engineer with roughly two to ten years of experience, sharpest on the frontend but owning backends too
- Proof of owning and shipping a complete product module, not only small features
- Production TypeScript, with React, Tailwind and PostgreSQL experience
- Daily use of AI coding tools and an ability to explain your workflow
- A steep career trajectory and several things you built and launched yourself
- Time at a fast-growing startup or high-bar product company
