A healthcare AI company at Series A is hiring a platform engineer for the first time. You will set up the infrastructure practice, answer to the engineering head and choose your own priorities. The workloads involve processing a huge stream of documents and running intensive machine-learning jobs daily.
Responsibilities
- Run and grow the cloud environment behind large-scale document handling and AI jobs
- Support two product engineering groups on DevOps needs: demo setups, build and deploy pipelines, and developer test environments
- Cut response times and spending while improving uptime as volume multiplies
- Drive security and compliance efforts across the full lifecycle, and unify identity, single sign-on, laptop management and access policies
- Streamline monitoring and keep tooling and infrastructure costs at target levels
Requirements
- Five or more years of engineering experience, most recently at least two in a platform, infrastructure, DevOps or SRE position
- Strong AWS and infrastructure-as-code skills, plus production-grade Python and TypeScript
- Earlier experience as an early platform hire or founding engineer at a company between Series A and D, with a steady work history
- Pluses: healthcare, financial technology or other regulated domains; infrastructure for large language models; deploying an identity provider
