JOB-2031

An AI startup working on foundation models for the physical world supplies synthetic training data to robotics research labs. New contracts have created a pressing need to grow the simulation team, and the company welcomes everyone from fresh graduate-degree holders to seasoned practitioners.

What you’ll own

  • Create detailed robotics simulations and large volumes of 3D digital assets using Blender and Python
  • Produce synthetic datasets that fill the gap left by scarce real-world robot data
  • Develop the tooling and pipelines used to build, run and score simulated environments
  • Model dynamics, physics and contact interactions for humanoids, manipulators and robot arms
  • Work side by side with a group of PhD-level researchers

What you bring

  • Hands-on strength in Blender and Python, which matters most
  • Proven work creating realistic simulation environments or the tooling behind them, from either academic research or a company setting
  • Either relevant simulation experience at a robotics, world-model or large technology organization, or a strong degree in CS, mechanical engineering or robotics (MS or PhD preferred)
  • Familiarity with simulators such as Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, PyBullet, Gazebo or Drake
  • A robotics or embodied AI simulation background

On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, five days a week. Visa transfers considered.
