JOB-1972

An AI startup building agentic software for enterprise contract work, supported by a larger established software group, is hiring its first product manager. The founder has led product until now and will hand over the reins, so the seat carries founding-level responsibility for building the product from the ground up.

Product ownership

  • Set strategy and the roadmap, deciding what is built, what is postponed and the reasoning behind each call
  • Pull together input from in-house lawyer-engineers who embed with customers and turn it into product direction
  • Plan and scope work with engineers, tuning the delivery rhythm to AI-assisted development where features can land in days rather than weeks
  • Discuss tradeoffs in agent and model architecture, and test ideas fast with coding assistants such as Claude Code or Cursor
  • Establish the product function itself: prioritization, documentation, launches and success metrics

Who fits

  • Five to ten years in product management on AI-centered engineering teams, with ownership of roadmaps
  • Shipped LLM-based or agentic products into production, with command of evals, latency, model behavior and context
  • Technical enough to work closely with engineers and judge realistic build times
  • Background in B2B SaaS or AI-native companies, plus early-stage, first-PM or founder experience
  • SQL or agent-assisted data analysis is a plus
