A healthcare data and AI company wants to hire an applied data scientist to manage enterprise accounts at large hospital networks and insurers. You will be the data authority in the room, alongside leaders from clinical, technology and analytics teams to move from raw customer data to deployed insights.
Account work
- Take charge of three to five large healthcare customers, covering data onboarding, pilot planning, live pipelines and continuing operations
- Plan and defend commercially meaningful experimental studies, for example predicting which patients will need surgery so care can begin sooner
- Create automated pipelines for each customer, using the company’s ML tooling to train models, score data and deliver results at volume
- Take part in working meetings with customer analytics, clinical and IT groups, converting business questions into data-driven answers
- Spot patterns across accounts and send high-leverage requirements back to the product roadmap
Skills and experience
- At least four years applying data science to real problems, with healthcare or life sciences data exposure such as claims, EHR, lab or population health
- Polished client-facing ability: you can run sessions with senior healthcare leaders and justify your approach to doubters
- Production Python (pandas, scikit-learn, Airflow), meaning code that ships rather than staying in notebooks
- Experience constructing distributed data and machine-learning pipelines with Spark or PySpark over big, untidy datasets
- An entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to take on varied responsibilities in a small, quick-moving company
