JOB-2005
A travel-technology startup that helps companies organize group trips and offsites is adding an account executive to its sales team. The seat involves many deals with short cycles, and it is a good fit for a junior-to-mid-level AE eager to grow as the company moves toward larger enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Own deals for smaller group trips, starting when a customer requests pricing and guiding shortlisting, proposal requests, side-by-side comparison, haggling and finally a signed agreement or deposit
- Take over recent and long-standing platform users who have stalled before the next milestone, and steer them toward a confirmed booking
- Conduct discovery calls with executive assistants, HR and people leaders, office and operations managers, and team leads who are organizing offsites, kickoffs, trainings and retreats
- Negotiate pricing, perks and contract terms with hotels across multiple properties
- Keep CRM records in HubSpot tidy while juggling many emails, calls and live opportunities
- Launch outbound campaigns of your own whenever inbound slows
- Pass customer insight along to the founders and the product team
Requirements
- Two to five years in sales, including a strong SDR record followed by a year or more as an AE at a tech company
- Experience carrying a quota and closing transactional deals at high volume
- Comfort managing dozens of active deals with short cycles
- Background in product-led or sales-assist tech, or in travel and hospitality, is a plus
- Startup or tech company experience
Remote within the United States. Visa sponsorship and transfers are not available.
