JOB-2006

A profitable, fast-growing fintech serving credit unions needs one analyst to take over how partner data enters its platform. As partner volume climbs, the partner success group is losing time to data fixes instead of relationship work. The job starts out as the main person to call for data problems and can expand quickly into data leadership and governance.

What you’ll own

  • Handle data mapping for each new partner, taking records from the credit union’s core banking processor and shaping them for ingestion
  • Resolve live data problems quickly and practically, such as fields that fail to map or campaign logic that misfires; your time shifts between onboarding and troubleshooting
  • Translate technical findings into simple language for the partner success managers who relay it to partners
  • Document and structure a mapping process that exists today only as informal knowledge, working with product and technology leaders
  • Build reusable SQL, Python or JavaScript validations plus automation and governance rules that stop problems from recurring and reduce dependence on engineering

Profile

  • Two to four years as a data analyst, solutions engineer or data ops/integration analyst
  • Has owned customer or partner data onboarding: mapping, ingesting and validating messy source files
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills, plus Python or JavaScript for validation, transformation and automation
  • Expert-level Excel
  • Traces discrepancies to the root cause and verifies the fix
  • Curious and pragmatic, able to devise workable answers inside the constraints of traditional financial institutions
  • A plus: financial services data, early-stage startup experience, recurring file ingestion
