JOB-2008
A startup serving the live-events and nightlife industry wants a business development hire who already knows the local scene. The person converts existing relationships with venues, promoters and organizers into signed accounts, instead of building a contact list from nothing.
Responsibilities
- Draw on your own contacts among event organizers, venue owners, promoters and DJs to produce warm leads and win new accounts
- Deliver product demonstrations and negotiate commercial terms such as revenue splits, guarantees and exclusivity
- Make each signed client a source of further introductions, steadily widening your reach
- Fill pipeline gaps with outbound prospecting after your warm leads are exhausted, treating it as a secondary channel
- Stay involved after close by supporting onboarding and occasionally attending a client’s first event
Profile
- Two to six years in business development, partnerships or account management in events, ticketing or nightlife
- A working network you could start calling on day one, with direct personal ties to owners and decision-makers rather than distant connections
- Demonstrated skill at winning business on calls and negotiating with confidence
- Polished, articulate communicator who pitches comfortably to new prospects
- At ease in a quick-paced startup with minimal process
- Focus on local events and nightlife rather than giant festivals
Remote within the United States. Visa transfers and new sponsorships are considered.
