A fast-growing consumer health startup, with a service that connects people to personal coaching covered by insurance, wants an AI-native senior product engineer. You would join a very lean engineering group that reports straight to the CEO and has wide freedom to set product direction.
The work
- Take charge of one product area per quarter: interview coaches and clients, write specs, design solutions and release production features with the help of AI agents
- Create AI-driven recommendation features that examine client information and suggest personalized next steps to coaches, such as prompts during a session or ideas for re-engaging clients who vanish
- Design and launch polished experiences for consumers and coaches on the web and in mobile apps, using AI to help both design and build
- Train proprietary models on the company’s distinctive data to tailor suggestions on exercise, diet, rest and habit change
- Push AI-first development further by writing tests, specs and plans that help agents produce quicker, steadier code, and show teammates new techniques
What you bring
- Three or more years in full-stack product engineering with an emphasis on AI-assisted building
- Daily use of AI coding tools and the ability to improve LLM output through evals, prompting or fine-tuning
- Strong UI and UX sense, plus user research and prioritization skills
- An entrepreneurial track record, such as founding, early-startup work or a consumer app built on your own
- Comfort working directly with users and turning feedback into code
- Strong drive and willingness to work long hours when needed
