JOB-1921

A rapidly growing defense-technology company with active government contracts wants a seasoned manufacturing engineer to take ownership of production for critical vehicle components. The environment is zero-to-one: the job is moving from prototype builds toward high-volume production lines.

What you’ll own

  • A key subsystem or part of the vehicle, including its manufacturing processes, capacity, reliability and efficiency
  • How complex hardware gets made and scaled, whether solid rocket motors, composites, adhesive bonding, machined parts or specialty material treatments
  • The shift from development-stage builds to assembly lines able to deliver thousands of units a year
  • Process documents such as safety standards, test procedures, work instructions and manufacturing BOMs
  • Joint work with design engineers on design-for-manufacturing decisions, and lining up the support required to hit deliverables

Profile

  • Five to fifteen years of hands-on manufacturing engineering for complex hardware in aerospace, automotive or defense
  • A record of building and scaling capacity from scratch, not only maintaining existing lines
  • Direct experience with fabrication, assembly or testing rather than planning alone
  • Engineering degree from a reputable university
  • Resume language that shows ownership and measurable results
  • Experience in tooling design, DFM or high-rate hardware production is a plus
