JOB-1856
A startup that grew out of language-model agent research is hiring founding-level engineers to turn that research into real products and developer tooling. Product, platform and research work sit close together, so the job spans the whole stack.
Key duties
- Create and run live applications and developer tooling: front-end products, service endpoints, client kits and reusable packages
- Carry products from first concept through prototype, launch and iteration based on user feedback
- Translate new research outputs into reliable product features and abstractions aimed at developers
- Shape architecture and scalability as usage grows
- Work with researchers, designers and infrastructure engineers so product goals stay technically realistic
- Define engineering quality through testing, CI/CD, docs and release practice
- Contribute mainly to the agent system itself, including its memory, with the serving platform and model research handled by neighboring roles
Experience we value
- Two to seven years as a product engineer building a range of AI applications and agents
- Hands-on record of shipping complete agent systems, beyond calling model APIs or building a single piece such as retrieval
- Strong fundamentals in concurrency, architecture and how software really works
- A blend of mature big-tech engineering and scrappy early-stage or research settings
- Degree in computer science or another technical field from a strong university
- Curiosity shown through agent-related side projects or open-source work; developer tooling experience is a plus
- Stack includes Python, TypeScript, React, Next.js, FastAPI and AWS or GCP
On-site in the South Bay Area (Silicon Valley). Visa transfers considered.
