JOB-1693
An early-stage company selling software to finance teams wants a founding seller to close new business and to help decide how the company sells. There is no mature playbook or tidy territory waiting, so the role fits a strong individual contributor who also wants to shape the sales team that follows.
What you’ll own
- Run every stage of the sale, from first conversation through evaluation, getting stakeholders aligned, negotiating and signing, generating your own leads when needed
- Lead sharp discovery with finance leaders, find the real business problems and present the value simply to sophisticated buyers
- Work through complicated deals by building champions, involving several stakeholders, creating urgency and flagging risks early
- Test messaging, qualification, demos and business cases to learn why deals are won, lost or stalled
- Partner with and coach the SDR group on targeting, outbound approach and selling fundamentals, setting its working rhythm as it grows
- Convert the tactics that succeed into repeatable processes and tools for future sellers, using AI to extend your reach
About you
- Eight to twelve years as an account executive at early-stage B2B SaaS companies, with seed to Series B experience
- A record closing complex, full-cycle deals with senior executives, ideally in fintech, finance or enterprise software
- Comfortable with mid-sized contracts and cycles of about three to three and a half months
- A consultative, emotionally intelligent style that builds rapport
- Not a fit if your background is only IT services, IT security or consumer products
Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area. Visa transfers considered.
