JOB-1694

A small seed-stage startup is replacing manual reporting for institutional investors with AI agents that work on top of unified data. Engineers here cover the entire product, from systems that interpret large volumes of fund paperwork to agents that convert a client request into a completed report, often with the client present. Much of the code is written with AI, so the real work is judgment about what to build and accountability for what ships.

The work

  • Contribute across the full product, from document-understanding systems to agent workflows
  • Decide what deserves building and shape how the agents behave
  • Get your output used by genuine customers within days of joining
  • Stand behind quality and reliability of everything you release
  • Use AI programming tools heavily as part of daily engineering

About you

  • Two or more years as a full-time software engineer (contract, consulting and internship time does not count), with strong backend skills
  • Experience owning work end to end; Python, TypeScript, React, AWS and PostgreSQL or MongoDB are common here, though no particular stack is required
  • High agency and a taste for ambiguous problems
  • A specific, genuine reason for wanting to join a very small startup
  • No finance background needed
  • Willingness to be in the office Monday through Friday during regular business hours

On-site in Seattle, five days a week with no hybrid option. Visa transfers considered.
