JOB-1745
A young software company helps developers of energy and infrastructure projects understand permitting and regulatory requirements. Its product already works and demand is rising, though it still relies partly on human review alongside automation. It wants a generalist engineer who begins with the user’s problem and replaces manual steps with software.
The work
- Automate the manual portions of a product already live
- Create AI agents to evaluate permitting and location-based risk across energy projects
- Ship user-facing screens and internal tooling end to end
- Study regulations and translate what users tell you into improvements
- Collaborate with every team, because many of your tools serve colleagues
What you bring
- Three to ten years as a product or software engineer, with full-stack delivery across frontend and backend
- Time at a company whose product was live with real customers
- A problem-first mindset, clear communication and low ego
- A record of taking a product or internal tool from problem definition to production and iterating on user feedback
- Helpful extras: long-running AI workflows, agent orchestration, GIS or geospatial data pipelines
- Stack includes React, Next.js, Python, FastAPI and PostgreSQL
Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area, about three days a week in the office. Visa sponsorship is not available.
