A startup whose platform curates data for training AI models is hiring a senior engineer to be the technical advisor strategic customers rely on during complicated rollouts. You should feel equally at home in a client meeting and inside infrastructure configuration files.
What you’ll own
- Manage onboarding, installation and production launch of the platform for key accounts, start to finish
- Act as the lead technical contact, building lasting relationships and encouraging adoption in intricate on-premise and hybrid setups
- Design secure workflows that scale, covering compute, storage and networking, on any of the three major public clouds as well as Kubernetes clusters inside customer data centers
- Partner with colleagues in the commercial, product-engineering and research groups to translate client needs into technical plans and pass what you learn back to shape the product
- Visit customer sites when required, around fifteen percent of the time
What you bring
- Five to ten years in a technical role after the sale, such as solutions or customer engineering or implementation
- Experience installing software inside enterprise customer environments and owning the whole post-sale lifecycle
- Solid grounding in large-scale distributed architectures, data platforms and compute that runs in customer-owned or mixed environments
- Depth across the major clouds including IAM, plus Python or SQL
- Hands-on machine learning and model-training background
- Comfort with ambiguity, turning fuzzy requirements into concrete architecture
Hybrid in the South Bay Area (Silicon Valley). Visa transfers are considered.
