JOB-1622
A Series A software company that supplies agentic AI to community lenders needs a senior individual contributor to own platform reliability and security. Today that responsibility is divided between the engineering, customer support and deployment teams, and this hire will become the single point where it all converges as the team and customer base grow.
What you’ll tackle
- Get involved early in both the infrastructure and the release pipeline so that fixes go out correctly
- Spot gaps in stability and shipping, present a closure plan to company leadership and then carry it out
- Raise uptime and release speed in measurable ways without weakening security
- Own service-level objectives, incident handling, monitoring and disaster recovery for a platform with a very high availability target
- Harden the AWS and Kubernetes environment and produce evidence for compliance frameworks (SOC 2, NCUA/FFIEC, GLBA)
About you
- Five to ten years as an individual-contributor platform or site reliability engineer
- Record of designing and running production systems, including core infrastructure, automation and deployment workflows
- Production infrastructure security experience across IAM, secrets, network policy and audit, ideally in a regulated setting
- Deep Kubernetes on AWS (service mesh, GitOps delivery) and solid TypeScript or Python
- Daily use of frontier AI tools in your workflow
- Background in startups at an early or growth stage is a plus
On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. Visa transfers are considered.
