JOB-1641

A robotics company at the Series A stage is putting AI-driven robots to work in real production settings, and its R&D group wants another software engineer who is comfortable at every layer of the system. The team is collaborative and low-ego, and the work lands in the physical world rather than only on screens.

What the job involves

  • Write and coordinate real-time robot control code, motion-planning optimizers and ML training pipelines on several hardware platforms
  • Build and maintain labeling front ends for training data, perception systems and compilers tuned for robot intelligence
  • Move across the stack, from microcontroller firmware up to cloud infrastructure, wherever the biggest problems are
  • Design and deliver new systems with teammates in close, whiteboard-style collaboration
  • Deploy into customer sites and make sure the software performs on the floor

Profile

  • One to three years of software engineering for robotics, automation or embedded systems
  • Exceptionally strong programming fundamentals; Python is essential and TypeScript with React is a plus
  • Software you shipped for physical robotic hardware, such as arms or manipulation, that ran in production or in front of customers
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of a product or engineering result
  • A degree in computer science, robotics or a related engineering discipline
  • A generalist outlook and willingness to change focus as priorities shift

On-site in Boston. Visa transfers considered; no new sponsorship.
