JOB-1445

A hardware startup is building an advanced imaging system for security screening in public spaces, and it needs an electrical engineer to take charge of its mixed-signal boards. The job is hands-on and broad: you make engineering calls usually left to far more senior people, and you work alongside mechanical, AI, firmware and FPGA teams.

What you’ll do

  • Lead bring-up at the board level, validate power sequencing and integrate subsystems across roughly half a dozen board designs
  • Chase down the causes of RF, power and signal-integrity faults, then drive quick design iterations to fix them
  • Work with an outside design firm on schematic updates and layout reviews, handling each new revision from fabrication to characterization and then validation
  • Partner with systems, firmware and FPGA colleagues to confirm that integration holds up at subsystem and system levels
  • Create traceability records and test procedures as production volumes ramp

What you bring

  • Three to seven years of mixed-signal hardware bring-up, debug and board-level integration, using Altium
  • Complete ownership of board designs, including controlled-impedance routing and power protection circuits
  • Command of mixed-signal design, including ADCs, DACs, DC/DC converters and RF interfaces
  • BS or MS in electrical engineering
  • Curiosity and breadth, with willingness to dig into several domains beyond your own specialty
  • A plus: telecom, radar or complex sensing experience, or FPGA bring-up

On-site in the South Bay Area (Silicon Valley). Candidates must be US persons; work visas are not supported.
