Job Description
Our client, a leading litigation firm in the Northeast, is expanding its healthcare and medical malpractice defense practice in Boston, MA, and is seeking multiple Associate Attorneys to join the team. This is an exceptional opportunity for attorneys with 2+ years of litigation experience, particularly in medical malpractice defense, or those with a general litigation background and a strong interest in this practice area. The position offers a hybrid work model and a dynamic environment focused on professional development and client advocacy.
Responsibilities:
- Represent healthcare providers and hospitals in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies.
- Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare responsive pleadings.
- Attend and conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Engage directly with clients and experts to support case development and litigation strategy.
- Manage discovery and participate in preparing for complex litigation proceedings.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys while maintaining individual responsibility over assigned matters.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing.
- 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice defense.
- Strong legal research, writing, and motion practice skills.
- Experience with depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and related advocacy work.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and case management skills.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a strong interest in healthcare-related litigation.
