JOB-1974

A small security startup that helps large enterprises evaluate and track the risks of the AI tools they adopt is hiring a first engineer dedicated to its customer-facing application. The role covers the product from concept through release, and suits someone with strong product instincts who enjoys solving customer problems.

Your focus

  • Make the application approachable for every team inside large customer organizations, extending it past the handful of workflows and industries covered at present
  • Design new product experiences layered over the company’s risk data for scenarios and departmental workflows not yet served
  • Improve current features and the interface, working in Python, Postgres and React
  • Review customer feedback and usage data to spot gaps and choose what to build next, taking on work that often sits with a PM
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales colleagues, and join customer conversations when useful

Strengths we want

  • One to five years as a product or full-stack engineer, with at least a couple of internships behind you
  • Hands-on Python, relational databases and React or Next.js
  • Experience shipping user-facing products, including side projects or club work
  • Sound product judgment and clear communication with go-to-market colleagues
  • A degree in a technical field; no AI security background needed, only curiosity to learn it
  • Founders, founding engineers and builders of personal projects are likely to do well

On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. Visa sponsorship and transfers are not available.
