JOB-1928
A fintech company running an AI-driven mortgage lending platform is adding a platform engineer who builds tools rather than only operating them. The goal is to give product engineers self-serve systems so they can release quickly and safely while the platform keeps scaling.
What you’ll own
- AWS infrastructure defined in Terraform and Pulumi, run as an internal product for engineering teams
- Developer tooling, TypeScript libraries and shared SDKs that set common patterns for building and releasing software
- Buildkite CI/CD pipelines and short-lived preview environments for each pull request
- Reliability through service-level objectives, autoscaling and incident response, backed by Datadog observability
- Scaling work on the lending platform, from Aurora PostgreSQL tuning to compute capacity
About you
- Seven or more years in platform engineering, building internal tooling and managing AWS
- Deep AWS knowledge across compute, networking, storage and security
- Comfortable reading and changing TypeScript and Node code, with backend library-building skills beyond pure DevOps
- Strong Terraform and/or Pulumi, plus CI/CD experience, ideally Buildkite
- Experience with SLOs, error budgets and incident handling
- Background at a fast-growing tech company
- Clear written communication when documenting complex systems
