JOB-1824
A Series A startup delivering radiology services through a software platform is hiring an autonomous product engineer to own the internal tooling and the connectors behind it. The company is small and fast-moving and is addressing a severe shortage of radiologists, so the right person can make a large difference immediately. The job leans toward backend work but covers the whole stack.
Your contribution
- Create and look after internal apps for distributing cases, peer review among radiologists and business analytics, which are the tools that let the company grow
- Take charge of the layer that integrates the platform with customer systems such as PACS, RIS and EHRs, speaking standards such as DICOM and HL7
- Work hands-on with customers as they onboard, learning their environments and implementing tailored integrations
- Find inefficiencies, process gaps and chances to automate across product and operations
Who thrives here
- Five or more years working as a product engineer, bringing startup experience owning features end to end on a small team with little oversight
- Strong backend engineering for interactive, real-time web applications, including services, APIs and data models
- Sound systems design judgment and experience building integrations with outside customer systems; familiarity with DICOM, HL7 or PACS is a plus
- Time inside a strong engineering organization, ideally a mix of big tech and startup, with a quality-minded outlook
- Frontend skills in TypeScript and React are helpful
On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. Visa transfers and new sponsorships considered.
