JOB-1751
A software company whose platform is becoming the daily workspace for chemists at major chemical manufacturers needs a post-sales engineer to connect that platform with customers’ other systems. The role is a mix of data and solutions engineering work: you receive a signed statement of work, finalize scoping and then deliver.
Responsibilities
- Own integration and migration projects from kickoff to go-live, usually spanning several months, building connectors that sync critical customer data such as raw-material lot information from ERP systems
- Collaborate with client IT staff so systems can exchange data, and with domain specialists to settle field mapping and transformation rules
- Advise customers on the right home for each dataset inside the platform
- Construct connectors tailored to each client atop a shared integration framework, applying solid ETL discipline
- Scope carefully and lean on AI coding assistants for much of the build, applying enough judgment to review their output
- Serve as the customers’ technical contact, with regular syncs, async updates and an occasional site visit
Qualifications
- Five to fifteen years as a software, integrations, data or solutions engineer who scoped and owned projects end to end
- Customer-facing leadership of technical projects involving APIs, data synchronization or orchestration
- Hands-on pipelines and ETL experience
- Python or Node.js, REST and event-driven architectures, and AWS
- Startup or chemicals, materials or life-sciences background is a plus; Databricks experience helps
- Availability for about one customer trip per quarter
