JOB-1698
A tiny, venture-backed startup that sells AI-driven revenue software to enterprises is hiring its first deployment engineer. The role connects customers’ tangled data warehouses to dependable agent workflows, converting the unwritten business knowledge inside a company into trustworthy data models.
Responsibilities
- Take new customers from kickoff to live, defining data access, exploring undocumented warehouses and mapping messy schemas onto concepts like churn, expansion and recurring revenue
- Build and check the semantic layer by interviewing customer stakeholders, settling conflicting definitions and writing them into validated SQL
- Put the platform’s automations plus agent pipelines live in customer environments and watch that they produce measurable revenue results
- Run two or three customer engagements at once, collaborating with customers’ data and engineering staff in shared chat channels, with most time spent on focused data work
- Use the company’s own agent tools yourself and give engineers feedback on evaluations, guardrails and validation
About you
- Two to five years as a forward deployed engineer, data scientist or customer-facing engineer, having owned deployments end to end in a technical role
- Shipped production data pipelines independently
- Deep SQL and data warehouse fluency, including legacy schemas with little documentation
- Prior data science or ML exposure, or a statistics or math education
- Patience for detailed, repetitive verification work and willingness to defend technical views with evidence
- Startup experience is a plus
On-site in New York, NY, five days a week. Visa transfers considered.
