JOB-1653

A growth-stage startup runs an AI-first social platform that processes a huge and rising volume of conversations for enterprise brands, and new customers join every week. It is adding a senior infrastructure engineer, among its first dedicated infrastructure hires, to help the systems keep pace and to influence how the platform develops.

Scope

  • Take responsibility for uptime and scaling across the distributed services behind heavy data intake and live AI agents
  • Strengthen ETL and data infrastructure running on Kubernetes, AWS, ClickHouse and Postgres
  • Work across the stack in Java, Python or TypeScript, creating automation, internal tools and product functionality with product and design colleagues
  • Join the round-the-clock on-call rotation, support customer issues and lead incident response during rapid onboarding
  • Strengthen Pulumi-based infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring depth so engineers ship fast without breaking things

Ideal background

  • Five or more years as an SRE, infrastructure or platform engineer running production systems
  • A full-stack mindset: engineers who work only on the front end or only on the back end are not the target
  • Hands-on cloud (AWS or similar) and infrastructure-as-code experience
  • Understanding of distributed systems and Kubernetes
  • Startup experience within the last few years
  • Comfort with big data volumes, ambiguity and getting up to speed independently
  • A degree

Hybrid in the South Bay Area (Silicon Valley), with several days a week on-site. Visa transfers considered; no new sponsorship.
