A small team of senior engineers is building AI software for managing the customer lifecycle, and its pipeline of customers is growing. It is hiring a generalist to work across the stack, talk directly with clients and help set the product direction and engineering culture from the beginning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side services and APIs in Python with FastAPI, plus React user interfaces
- Sit with enterprise clients to learn their use cases and build custom agents and automated flows jointly
- Own areas of product and infrastructure from spotting the problem through to shipping, including architecture choices
- Work closely with the founding pair, with real sway over what gets built and where the company heads
- Take responsibility for outcomes in a fast-moving, ambiguous setting
Ideal background
- Five to seven years of full-stack engineering, backend-leaning
- Time at an early-stage, venture-backed startup (seed to Series B)
- Proficiency in Python and FastAPI and a modern front-end framework such as React
- A strong communicator who can turn customer requirements into features
- A record of promotion in at least one earlier role
- Interest in applied AI; California-based candidates are strongly preferred
Remote within the United States. Visa transfers considered, with TN visas also possible; new H-1B sponsorship is not offered.
