A startup is applying AI voice agents to healthcare front-office work, so that clinics stop losing calls and staff spend less time on paperwork. Its agents carry tasks such as scheduling, billing questions, refills and check-ins all the way to completion, and the company is growing its engineering team.
Day to day
- Develop and run live full-stack functionality behind AI-driven patient communication
- Connect the product to electronic health record systems, older healthcare software and live telephony and speech infrastructure
- Partner with colleagues in product and design and with veteran engineers to convert customer requests into working software
- Diagnose and improve reliability, speed and scale on systems that are live
- Take part in design discussions and code reviews and help refine engineering habits
What you bring
- Three to six years of full-time full-stack engineering at a company, beyond founder or side-project work
- Production ownership of a Node/TypeScript and Postgres backend and a React front end
- Experience taking software from zero to one, with real product and design sense
- A CS or comparable technical degree
- Independence and urgency typical of a startup builder; exposure to LLMs or voice technology is a plus
On-site in New York, NY, five days a week. Visa transfers are welcome, and O-1 or TN sponsorship may be available.
