JOB-1521
A construction technology startup is building AI-driven scheduling software that links 3D models with timing and planning data, aiming to compress infrastructure planning from months into days. It needs a veteran general-contractor project manager to make sure the product reflects how jobs are genuinely sequenced and built.
Your scope
- Help design and develop the four-dimensional scheduling feature, grounding it in the way actual construction work is sequenced and delivered
- Bring practical project management judgment into product and engineering choices as the in-house expert on planning and delivery
- Interpret blueprints and project drawings routinely
- Collaborate with engineers on the engineering and machine-learning side, with no coding required
- Spend roughly one week each month working alongside the team in person
About you
- Eight to twelve years as a construction project manager at a general contractor, having planned and delivered complex projects nationwide
- Experience managing other project managers throughout a job’s lifecycle
- Mostly office-based planning, with regular visits to site to resolve issues
- Hands-on ownership of schedules in Primavera P6 or 4D/BIM tools
- Real experience using or building AI or automation to improve scheduling
- Curiosity about technology, though construction expertise matters most
- Superintendents with only field execution backgrounds, or planners with no field exposure, are unlikely to fit
Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area. Unable to offer visa sponsorship or accept transfers.
